I don't know why I couldn't add any more images to my last blog.
Every time I did so, it pasted them on top of those that were already there!
And, for some reason, I have a huge blank area after signing off!!
Anyway, not to worry ... to continue on with photos of the beautiful
needlework pieces stitched by Elizabeth Darrah of Auckland and so
kindly loaned for exhibition over the Labour Weekend.
These lovely designs are by Sharon Cohen of the Nostalgic Needle.
A lot of Nostalgic Needle designs are no longer available for purchase,
but some patterns/designs of the pieces are still available from the Gallery.
If so, details - design title, code and price - of those available are listed.
Additional to Elizabeth’s lovely pieces, I too,
have stitched a few of Sharon’s designs over the years
and so displayed these too.
The next few images are of my pieces.
Note: This is
the same design
that Elizabeth stitched,
but she backed her piece
with a blue fabric
whereas I backed mine
with black velvet.
The designs for the next two pieces are no longer available.
Fancy Footwork Fob & Tudor Rose Ornamental
I do hope you have enjoyed looking at all the pieces of needlework
that were on display.
Hopefully you will be able to visit the Needlework Gallery
next time we are having an exhibition and enjoy the experience personally.
